Truly the ultimate outdoor adventure! This full action packed falconry day takes place out in the Leicestershire countryside with a morning handling various birds of prey and an afternoon pursuing wild game with our friendly team of fully trained harris hawks.

Your morning falconry experience begins with an introduction to Falconry and bird of prey handling then you will continue with the experience of handling, flying and feeding various species of hawk, falcon and owl. This will be your chance to get up close to these fantastic birds of prey.

After lunch your falconry experience continues as we head out to the Leicestershire fields taking dogs & ferrets (conditions permitting) to work with the birds. This is where you experience faconry in the true sense of birds of prey hunting quarry.

An experienced falconer will be with you to make sure you are completely involved in the hunt and to provide you with information on the falconry experience as well as the other wildlife which will be seen.

You will take a walk through the woods with our team of Harris Hawks flying free. They will all be keen to pop down and land on your fist for a titbit as we progress and you can see the beauty and skill of these amazing hawks up close.

This is a great falconry day out for the young enthusiast. This is a fun day where you will be introduced to handling birds of prey and a how we train the hawks and falcons. You will learn about the sprinters, the long distance pursuit experts and the stealth experts. You will also experience the fantastic thrill of Hawks and Owls flying to your fist and flying in your close company.

This falconry experience is tailored to younger ages and is in small groups, often one to one (plus a parent who, if they behave, gets to participate too). We usually finish with a short hawk walk flying a Harris hawk back and forward to the glove. 

Children are welcome on our other activities and regularly participate and enjoy them. Just bear in mind they may have to wait in turn and be a little more mature in their outlook. Teenagers are usually fine and younger children often fit in well. Call and have a chat to see what would be best for your enthusiastic youngster.
