A great half day spent in wonderful Leicestershire countryside
where you will witness the powers of magnificent hawks and
falcons as they command the sky and twist and turn through
our woodlands. They will fly to your fist and you will learn
lots about the history and hunting skills of these fascinating
raptors.
This falconry experience starts with a Falconry lesson to
give you the basics then it's into action as we head out and
let the Hunting Hawks off. Possibly with the aid of both pointing
dogs and ferrets, we'll show the age old bond of Man and Hawk
as they work. You'll be handling and flying our hunting Harris
Hawks.
Duration 3 Hours approximately, 10am to 1 pm or 2pm to 5pm.
(October to April, rabbits; October - January pheasant)

Truly the ultimate outdoor adventure! This full action packed
day takes place out in the countryside with the morning being
spent getting to know the birds. Your opportunity to be up
close feeding handling and flying some of our favourite stars.
The afternoon is spent out on the farm, in winter, with the
Harris Hawk hunting team plus dog and ferrets. In summer we
usually fly an eagle or European Eagle Owl and then we are
out into the countryside for a walk with a team of harris
hawks who show there natural capabilities while popping down
to you for the occasional titbit.
Your morning session will begin with an introduction to Falconry
and then you will go straight to mastering the techniques
of handling South American Harris Hawks, Falcons and Owls.
After a woodland lunch we head out to the fields. In summer
we take a team of Harris hawks and they will display their
aerial skill following us, coming to your fist for treats
and chasing any quarry they see. During the hunting season,
(October to April, rabbits; October - January pheasant), a
full hunt will ensue taking dogs & ferrets to work with
the birds as we pursue rabbits and pheasant.
Fully trained instructors will be on hand throughout the
day to ensure you are completely involved in the hunt, providing
you with information on both the flora and fauna together
with other wildlife which will be seen.

full Day 10am to 5pm or 9:30am - 4:30pm Dec & Jan.
