How to Use Your Voucher
1) New Style Vouchers (short codes like “UL6Y5XE”)
Use the Redeem button and follow the steps:
- Click Redeem a New Style Voucher.
- Enter your voucher code.
- Pick your experience and date from the calendar.
- Complete the attendee details and confirm.
Need to add people or upgrade?

Add extra participants or upgrade after redeeming by purchasing the difference (see “Upgrades” below).

Are vouchers valid at both Market Harborough and Buckinghamshire?
It depends on the voucher type. Experience vouchers are tied to a venue:

Meet the Birds and Meet the Owls run at Alders Farm (Buckinghamshire).

All other experiences (e.g., Bird on the Hand, Falconry Adventure, Owl on the Hand, family sessions) run at Market Harborough (Leicestershire).
Money vouchers can be redeemed against any experience at either venue.
Can we switch the venue after purchase?
Usually yes. It’s an admin change—just contact us with the voucher details and we’ll arrange it.
How long are vouchers valid?
Most vouchers are 12 months from the date of purchase. Some special offers may be restricted.
How are vouchers delivered?
Instant email delivery with the option for you to create a personalised printable voucher. There is also the option to have a printed voucher and gift presention box delivered by post.(If you need alternatives, contact us and we’ll help.)
How do we redeem a voucher?
Book online via our booking system and enter your voucher code. Follow the prompts choosing a date etc. If you have any issues, contact us and we’ll complete the booking for you.

Are any experiences weekday only?
Yes. Raptor Rapture (60 minutes) and Have a Hoot (30 minutes) are weekday only (Market Harborough). All other experiences run on set days including weekends—check available dates when booking.
What ages are vouchers suitable for?
Most experiences are suitable for ages 7+(Have a Hoot 4+).
Our Falconry Adventure (full day) is recommended for ages 11+ due to the length and activity level.
If you’re unsure, ask and we’ll recommend the best fit.
Can a money voucher be used for any experience?
Yes. Money vouchers act as credit and can be used toward any experience at either venue. If the chosen experience costs more than the voucher value, you can pay the difference at checkout.
Can we change the date after booking?
If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible. We’re happy to help within our standard rescheduling terms (shown during booking).
Are vouchers refundable?
Vouchers are refundable, For 30 days after purchase to ensure you have made the right decision. We are also happy to help you transfer them or switch to another suitable experience within the validity period.
2) Old Style Vouchers (long codes like “B1234-BTH-11-26254”)
Book through the calendar (don’t worry that it looks like a purchase flow—your voucher removes the charge at the end):
- Go to the booking page and filter to your voucher’s experience.
- Select your date, add the correct participants (and spectators if included).
- On the final step, enter your voucher number to bring the balance to £0.
Important formatting note
Some older vouchers show a forward slash “/” (e.g., B1234/A-BTH-1n-12254).
Replace the slash with a hyphen “-” → B1234-A-BTH-1n-12254 before entering. (Bird on the Hand)
If the price looks wrong

If you’ve added more people than the voucher covers, the system will expect payment for the extra.

If the total doesn’t match what it should, email enq@birdonthehand.co.uk with your voucher number (or call) so we can correct the booking. We’ll adjust any over/under-charge. (Bird on the Hand)

3) Private Experience Vouchers

Some private dates appear on the calendar(90 minutes and 3 hour sessions); many are by arrangement. Check the calendar and if there are no suitable dates Email preferred dates or call Duncan on 07868 243490 and we’ll set one up for you. (Bird on the Hand)
4) Virgin Experience Days / Into the Blue Vouchers

Half-day vouchers can be used for Bird on the Hand (Leicestershire) or Meet the Birds (Buckinghamshire).

You may also use the code for Owl on the Hand / Meet the Owls with an additional £10 at booking.

Falconry Adventure is the full-day option.

5) Upgrades & Adding People
Add extra participants

Find a date with enough spaces.

Book your existing voucher first, then buy the extra participant(s) for the same date via Online Bookings. (Bird on the Hand)
Add spectators

Use the Generic Vouchers option (half-day or full-day spectator).

Pay online; no need to pre-book—bring the spectator voucher or proof of purchase on the day. For the full day please telephone a couple of days prior otherwise there may not be enough for your lunch (Bird on the Hand)
Other upgrades

6) Quick Rules & Tips
