How many people can attend?
For Bird on the Hand, we can accommodate up to 8 participants at no extra cost.
For Falconry Adventure, the standard price covers up to 6 participants. Larger groups are very welcome — please call to discuss numbers above 12, as we can usually tailor a session to suit your group.
Can we book as a family or group?
Definitely. Our private sessions are perfect for families, friends, and clubs looking for something unique to enjoy together. We can adapt the pace and mix of birds to suit all ages and levels of confidence, ensuring everyone has the chance to take part.
Is lunch included?
Yes — a generous ploughman’s lunch is included with all Falconry Adventure sessions.
Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available; please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
What happens if it rains?
Our birds are used to a range of weather conditions, and most experiences can continue unless the weather is very wet.
With a private session we can discuss the possibilities of proceeding.
If conditions mean we need to postpone, we’ll contact you to rearrange at no extra charge — vouchers remain valid for 12 months.
Can everyone take part?
Absolutely. We treat guests and participants the same — everyone is welcome to handle or fly the birds if they’d like to. Many families find that children, parents, and grandparents all enjoy taking part together, making it an unforgettable shared experience.
Do I need any prior experience?
Not at all. All our falconry and owl handling sessions are designed for beginners, and our experienced falconers will guide you throughout. You’ll learn everything you need to enjoy a safe, memorable encounter with the birds.

This 90-minute private session focuses on hands-on interaction, giving you a chance to handle and fly a selection of hawks, owls and falcons under the guidance of your dedicated falconer.
Ideal for couples, families, or small groups seeking a personal introduction to falconry. It is often chosen as a birthday party theme for kids aged 5 upwards.

Our 90-minute private falconry experience is ideal for families, couples, children’s birthdays, or small groups looking for a truly personal encounter with our birds. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, planning a team activity, or just want to share something unique with loved ones, this session delivers an unforgettable, hands-on experience.
During your visit, you’ll meet and fly a selection of birds of prey — including owls, hawks, and falcons — under the guidance of our experienced falconers. Everyone who wishes to participate gets the chance to handle and fly the birds, making this a wonderfully interactive and memorable session. There’s plenty of time for questions, photos, and relaxed enjoyment of the countryside setting.
Private sessions are usually held at our Market Harborough base, where we also run our scheduled Bird on the Hand and Owl on the Hand experiences. If you don’t see dates that suit you online, please contact us — we’re often able to accommodate special requests with a little notice.

Come down to Barn Owl Hollow for an excellent bit of entertainment and education. I can come to your premises but it obviously costs more as on top of the actual travel costs there is a lot of time involved in packing and setting up which explains the first extra charge being higher. After that it is to cover the travelling.
Suitable for six year old upwards. They will get to fly and handle some of our owls and hawks and be entertained by all the fascinating facts surrounding them.
As this is a private session numbers are up to you and up to 12 is good for older attendees, bearing in mind you are sharing the time. Keep in mind when young kids get together they start to get more distracted with each other when numbers increase.

How many can attend?
This is a private falconry experience for your group—whether a couple, a family, or a corporate team. The half-day session is flexible and can be tailored to your needs. Your ticket covers the entire group, and numbers are up to you. We recommend up to six for the best experience, though six to ten still works well. With larger groups (such as a local Women’s Institute of 20+), everyone can still enjoy the day if expectations for individual interaction are realistic. There is an addtional charge of £25 per person for numbers above ten.
