Falconry Adventure Day 5 Brilliant Birthday gift!

A birthday gift from my lovely husband Peter last September....well
worth waiting for. The weather was just perfect, company was great,
but the birds were just magnificent.

I didn't realise I would get the opportunity to hold and feed all of these
wonderful creatures ...what a treat,

 Falconry Adventure Day 5 truly superb day out

Dear Andrew

This was a truly superb day out last Friday. True, the weather was
stunning; Leicestershire countryside blossoming profusely; but the
experience of the Owl, Falcon, Eagle and the Hawks all flying to fist
was just so amazing. I could have spent a whole weekend out with
the birds.

Lunch was excellent as well as the ambience of eating it in that spot
in the woods.

We also learned so much from you about the birds and their habits. I
even enjoyed the Ferrets, which I had never handled before.
Elizabeth thoroughly enjoyed her day as "Spectator" and managed
to notch up 157 photographs - good job we're not still using film!

What a terrific birthday prezzie this was from son and daughter-in-law! I've already recommended it to lots of people.

I've attached one pic which I particularly liked as it was taken
kneeling and looking up at the Peregrine who seemed very
interested in the top of a head as a potential landing place!

I have to write to tell you how much impressed my wife and myself
were by our wonderful experience on Saturday.
The morning handling session, our lunch and the afternoon hunt
were all top notch, and the day as a whole was thoroughly enjoyable
- so much so that we haven't stopped talking about it yet!

My wife Di and myself enjoyed this experience so much we are coming back for more!
I personally thought the afternoon hunting session with the Harris Hawks and Boris the gun dog was just amazing.
Andrew made us feel very welcome and he explained every aspect of falconry making it an unforgettable experience.

Hello Andrew

May I on behalf of David and myself thank you so much for a
superb day yesterday.

Like a lot of people i guess we had no idea of what to expect and
could not have foreseen what a full on day lay in store for us.

We met very nice people in the group and have already received
some photos from Judy and Terry.

The lunch was great.

David has been a passionate fisherman for over 50 years
but said yesterday was better than sitting on the river bank.

Hi Andrew

Shaun and myself have been on a few falconry days, all of them
very interesting and very informative, and, enjoyed all of them
very much, but nowhere near as much as we enjoyed our day
with you!

The whole day was relaxed, informal, interesting and fun, set
in a quiet wood and secluded meadow where you gave the
falconry display. After a nice and substantial lunch we were
treated to the best bit - hunting!

Although the hunting was not as successful as hoped, it was
most enjoyable. Just spending the afternoon with your dog,
ferret and two hawks walking through some beautifull
countryside chatting with you about your birds and hunting
was wonderful, and, by the end of the day we felt like we
had known you for years. We still can't stop talking about
it now.

Thank you for what was easily our best falconry day ever!

Dear Andrew -

Just a quick note to say thank you again for
a fantastic day yesterday Mark and I both
really enjoyed ourselves.

We both particularly enjoyed the hunting
experience in the afternoon with Biggles,
Dickie and Boris (can't forget Boris!). We
felt very fortunate to have you all to
ourselves for the whole afternoon. With
such lovely weather and beautiful
surroundings it really was an experience
we won't forget.

We both slept well last night, as you can
imagine, and I have been telling everyone
what a great day we had. I am encouraging
eeveryone to give it a try!

Aside from our own personal experience,
i t was also nice to see someone enjoying
what they do so much and your enthusiasm
and love for your birds (and Boris!) is clear
for all to see. The birds (and Boris!) are
obviously very well cared for and enjoy a
very happy life with you.


Thank you again, and hopefully we will come
along again one day.
