Birds of Prey Photography Day

If your child is a little nervous on the day, don’t worry—we go entirely at their pace. We’re experts at making sure every young falconer feels confident and happy.

Expect plenty of "glove time." Under expert guidance, you’ll handle and fly multiple species, including hawks, falcons, and owls. You’ll learn about their unique personalities and biology while experiencing the thrill of silent flight and powerful landings.

What to Bring

• A DSLR, mirrorless, or bridge camera with manual settings
• Zoom lens recommended: 200mm+ ideal
• Tripods not allowed in group settings, but monopods are welcome
• Optional: beanbag for low-angle shots
• Weather-appropriate clothing: boots, waterproofs, and overtrousers if wet
• Packed lunch – tea and coffee are provided

• Duration: 10am to 4pm (6 hours approx.)
• Group Size: Maximum of 8 participants
• Level: Suitable for all photography levels, from beginner to advanced
• Voucher Validity: 12 months from the date of purchase

Important Information

• This is an outdoor session, and though light rain usually doesn’t stop us, severe weather may cause cancellation and we will provide further dates for your workshop. Your voucher or booking will be valid for this regardless of its expiry date.
• The final list of birds may vary based on animal welfare considerations and conditions on the day.
• Sessions are small group only and tend to book out early—advance booking is strongly advised.

What to wear
Dress for the weather, especially warm layers on colder days. Sturdy shoes are usually sufficient. Avoid bright dayglo colours. In summer bring sunscreen and water. If you get hay fever, bring antihistamines.

We don't normally allow for spectators on this event but if you have someone who really wants to come along, get in touch and if it doesn't compromise the numbers we can advise further.
