Owls at Sundown
Do you dare enter the woods at night? If so, be sure to keep a look out for ghostly shadows and frightening shrieks! Are you brave enough to stand in the near darkness and have one of our supreme night time predators swoop out of the gloom onto your fist?
We have a new experience available this year where you can handle several species of owls and see them flying in both daylight and the dark. This 3.5 hour session will start in the afternoon and run into the evening so there will be plenty of opportunities for good photos during the daytime and you'll see the birds swooping silently out of the gloom after sunset.
We will run these sessions November through to end of March. Start times will be 2:30, 3:00 or 3:30 moving in line with sundown. This will give some good daylight adventure time and scary chunk of darkness where we all have to turn nocturnal.
As with all our experiences you will learn lots of interesting facts about birds of prey in our relaxed sessions which run with small groups (max 6 participants). During Owls at Sundown we will also have a break for tea and cakes while we look at some fascinating owl feathers and owl pellets.
Get up-close and personal with our amazing owls drifting out of the darkness onto your gloved hand. What will you learn underneath the moonlight? How scared will you be at the chilling sounds and sights coming out of the darkness?
This is a special, seasonal event so tickets are *limited!*

- Three and a half hour outdoor event
- Hot drinks and cakes and biscuits provided for spectators and participants
- Participants get a hands-on experience with the Owls
- Spectators (maximum of 2 spectators per participant) can accompany their participant to get fantastic photos
- please bring warm clothes and waterproof shoes

Are fully involved and by your side throughout and able to ask questions, take photographs and be part of the action.
They do not get to handle the birds but they do have a great time.
